Project Name: Multirole Emergency Services and Security Vehicle (MESSV)

Project Overview:

Knights Hospitaller International (Knights Hospitaller International’s) and the Knights Hospitaller International (OBS) aim to develop a state-of-the-art Multirole Tactical and Training Support Vehicle (MTTSV). This vehicle will serve as a dynamic asset for the Knights Hospitaller International Facility’s training programs, operational support missions, and technological product development. Based on a rugged Ford F-550 chassis equipped with Meritor’s ProTec Independent Suspension Axle System, the MTTSV will be outfitted with cutting-edge communication, surveillance, and command systems, including LoRa and MeshTastic technologies on robust single-board computers. Its multifunctional design allows it to support a range of activities from tactical training exercises, paintball and airsoft scenarios, to the deployment of OBS’s tactical units and emergency response initiatives.

Project Modules:

  1. Vehicle Acquisition and Tactical Modification:

    • Acquire a Ford F-550 and outfit it with the ProTec ISAS series for tactical terrain navigation.
  2. Advanced Communication System Integration:

    • Develop a resilient communication network based on LoRa and MeshTastic technology for secure, long-range connectivity during operations and training exercises.
  3. Tactical Surveillance and Command Solutions:

    • Implement strategic surveillance and command systems, such as CivTAK and Sahana First Response, to coordinate activities at the Knights Hospitaller International Facility and in the field.
  4. Operational Testing and Effectiveness Validation:

    • Perform rigorous testing to ensure the MTTSV meets the high standards required for the diverse operational roles within Knights Hospitaller International’s and OBS.

Timeline:

  • Vehicle Acquisition and Tactical Modification: 3-6 months
  • Advanced Communication System Integration: 4-8 months (concurrent with vehicle modification)
  • Tactical Surveillance and Command Solutions: 5-10 months (overlaps with earlier stages)
  • Operational Testing and Effectiveness Validation: 6-12 months (concurrent with other modules)

Budget Estimate:

  • [Include the same budget details as provided, updated for any additional or changed estimates]

Potential Materials and Technologies:

  • [Include the same list of materials and technologies, updated for relevance to the Knights Hospitaller International Facility’s operations]

Prospective Developments:

  • Enhanced Operational Integration:
    • Future integration capabilities with unmanned aerial systems (UAS) for aerial reconnaissance and tactical support.
  • Expanded Training and Medical Support:
    • Modular design to allow conversion into a training support hub or mobile medical unit for OBS tactical training and emergency scenarios.
  • Advanced Defense and Detection Systems:
    • Option to upgrade with CBRN detection and countermeasures, augmenting the vehicle’s preparedness for a broader range of potential threats and training simulations.
